RGI inspection and Declaration of Conformance for landlords requiring gas compliance documentation for HAP applications.
As a registered RGI (Registered Gas Installer), Cork Gas Center provides a professional inspection of the domestic gas installation at your rental property and, where the installation meets the required safety standards, issues the appropriate Declaration of Conformance.
This service is designed for landlords who need evidence that the gas installation and connected appliances have been inspected and are safe and suitable for continued use, including where gas compliance documentation is required as part of a Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) application.
What's included
During the inspection, the gas installation is assessed in accordance with the applicable requirements of Irish Standard I.S. 813 / I.S. EN 1949, as applicable to the installation.
The inspection can include:
- Inspection of the domestic gas installation and accessible gas pipework
- Checking the gas soundness of the installation
- Inspection of connected gas appliances covered by the declaration
- Checking appliance locations for suitability
- Inspection of permanent ventilation and combustion air provisions
- Inspection of appliance flues/chimneys for suitability and adequacy
- Safety checks on appliance operation and associated safety devices
- Where applicable, servicing of appliances in accordance with manufacturer requirements
- Identification of any safety issues or defects requiring attention
- Completion of the relevant RGI Declaration of Conformance / Safety documentation
*GAS Boiler Service is a seperate service, not included.
Where the installation satisfies the required safety and compliance checks, the declaration is completed by the RGI and provided to the customer as confirmation of the work and inspection carried out.
Important information for landlords
The certificate confirms the condition and compliance of the gas installation at the time the inspection is carried out. It is not an invoice or receipt and does not replace ongoing appliance servicing or maintenance.
If a safety issue or non-compliance is identified, remedial work may be required before a declaration can be completed. Any necessary repairs or additional work can be discussed with you following the inspection.
Please note: This service relates to the gas installation and appliances covered by the relevant declaration. Boiler-related work or certification may require a separate service where applicable.
